Dear Fellow Assyrians and Friends,

I hope you are all well and enjoying a wonderful and relaxing spring.

At Seyfo Center we were able to achieve this year many of our objectives; including but not limited to our efforts to educate Assyrians and non-Assyrians about our Genocide. On April 20th, we were officially invited by the city of Glendale, which is located in Southern California to give a presentation about the Assyrian Genocide. On April 23rd we were invited by Armenian community leaders to participate with them in genocide commemoration in Montebello, California.

As the director of the Assyrian Genocide Research Center, I was also invited together with US Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, California State Senator Anthony Portantino, Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorrian, Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Congressman Adam Bennett Schiff, who is the U.S. Representative for California’s 28th district, to give a speech on the subject of Assyrian Genocide.

April 24th activities are over but our work for the recognition of the Assyrian genocide is not!

The Forty-Six States of the United States have already recognized the Armenian genocide but none of them has said anything about the Assyrian Genocide. However, we have a very good working relationship with Armenians and Greeks and we believe we will be successful in bringing awareness to our cause.

But we need you to be a part of our work – your support is critical
Seyfo Center aims to publish an eighty-page book authored by Prof. David Gaunt on Assyrian Genocide. This book presents a comprehensive overview of the tragic events that took place at the time. We believe most readers will find it very interesting. We aim to send many copies of this book to members of the US Congress with a letter asking them to also recognize the Assyrian Genocide.
The second book we want to publish is Abdulmesih Qarabashi’s book, which contains mostly eyewitness accounts of massacres perpetrated against Assyrians by Kurds and their Turkish masters

SEYFO CENTER is active in several countries; our success depends on our volunteers and supporters. In order to continue our great mission and reach all our goals; we need more volunteers and we also need financial support. While we are grateful to all those who have previously supported and funded this great cause, unfortunately, the struggle for recognition is far from over. For this year and the future, we have very important objectives and in order to achieve our goals, we need solid and consistent financial support. We know we can count on your support and thank you for your continued trust!
