Bu benim büyük büyükannem Seyran, 1915’ten önce Süryani Hristiyan’dı. Resmi kayıtlara göre 1904’te doğmuş. 7 kardeşlermiş: Seyran, İsa, Musa, Yusuf, İbrahim, Gulê ve Mence. Tûrabdîn’de orijinal adı Süryanice olan Kerkine köyünde yaşıyorlardı. Kerkine’de eskiden sadece Süryaniler yasarmış, Müslüman Kürtler sonradan gelip yerleşmişler. Seyran, 1915’teki Süryani-Ermeni soykırımı “Seyfo” sırasında 11 yaşındaydı.
